Labscope Compatibility

Two BNC connectors on the back panel interface with any dual channel labscope.  Display ignition secondary waveforms, ignition primary current waveforms or fuel injector waveforms.

Power Tests

Automatic or manual spark suppression is used to test Power Balance in conventional engines, and a Power Contribution test checks cylinder power balance in DIS ignitions without using spark suppression.  Electronic Compression measures cranking amperage per cylinder to detect low compression.

Electrical Tests

Tests check battery performance and the entire starting/charging system in less than 30 seconds.  Diagnostic routines check alternator diodes and stators.

Sensor Tests

Programmed tests show glitches in throttle position sensors, identify defective or lazy oxygen sensors.  A versatile meter function measures AC and DC voltages, Hertz & Duty Cycle.

Autotest Sequence

A step-by-step test procedure guides you through the Starting / Charging History, Ignition Primary and Secondary, Power Balance or Power Contrition, Electronic Compression, and Visual Inspection tests.  The AutoTest is a fast, comprehensive way to evaluate engine performance.  A detailed report with graphs and diagnostic messages is printed at the end of the AutoTest.

Hard Start Test

Find no-start and hard start problems qauickly with measurements of RPM, Battery Voltage, Ignition Energy, Dwell or Peak Amps, Auxiliary Volts and AC Volts Peak to Peak.

Power Contribution

Monitors engine power balance on DIS or Distributor engines while the engine is idling.  Shows cylinder to cylinder variations without disconnecting or shorting wires.

Starting / Charging History

This sequenced test helps evaluate the entire starting / charging system in just a few minutes.

Automatic Power Balance

Uses spark suppression on distributor engines to automatically cancel the ignition for each cylinder.  At the conclusion of the test, the results are displayed and graphed on the screen or printer.

Oxygen Sensor

Measure crossings / second, duty cycle, and operating voltage range.  Identifies defective or lazy sensors.  See O2 readings and exhaust content on the same screen when the Gas Analyser is present.

Portable

Analyser connects to the vehicle's 12 volt battery for power.  Use the included extension leads to take the analyser out on a road test.

Built In Printer (55P)

Print the results of an autotest, or any individual test by simply pressing the print button.  Print out a copy for you and your customer.
